Museveni asks NRM MPs to isolate Amama Mbabazi

 

On Tuesday evening in Uganda, president Museveni welcomed a clique of NRM Members of Parliament to State House, Entebbe. Museveni invited only those MPs who agreed and signed his petition to endorse himself for Life Presidency. Museveni invited the MPs using SMS.
At the same time Museveni’s son Muhoozi Kainerugaba held a special meeting with few selected and most trusted Army Officers to review his father’s security after last weekend’s failed assassination attempt that left a number of Special Presidential Guards dead at State House.

The Parliament session was suspended on tuedsday because the NRM MPs went to State House, Entebbe. According to sources in the meeting, Museveni asked the MPs to grill Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi over his attempt to stand in the way of Museveni’s life Presidency ambition.

Museveni also asked the NRM rubber stamp MPs to approve a series of his political moves intended to isolate antagonists.
