Museveni opens EALA meeting

Members of parliament of the East African Assembly (EALA) have gathered at the Parliament of Uganda for their last session of the second sitting of the East African Legislative Assembly.

The security in Kampalaand around the parliament is so tight. The EALA session has been opened by President Museveni. The East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) session is sitting in Kampalafrom January 24th to February 2nd, this year.

President Mwai Kibaki ofKenyawill address the same EALA session on Wednesday this week. Kibaki is already inKampala.

 The session has been presided over by its speaker Abdirahin Abdi. On the programme, the members will discuss inter- university council of East Africa bill, The East African Community trans boundary ECO-system management bill 2010 and the East African Community polythene materials control bill.
