Museveni wishes supreme Mufti Ramadan kareem

President Museveni has sent his best wishes to Supreme Mufti Sheikh Zubair Kayongo and all members of the Muslim community as they are observing the Islamic Holy month of Ramadan Kareem. Kareem is an Arabic word that means holy.

This year’s Ramadan has come at a time when the Muslims in Uganda are still divided over leadership issues.  Museveni says the government is proud of the Muslim Community in Uganda and the level of development they have contributed to the country.

He saluted Muslims role in promoting peace and stability in Uganda and east Africa at large.

In Muslim faith Ramadan is a time of giving and reaching out to the needy and repentance. Museveni says his government would continue to work with Muslims in matters concerning national development.
