The minister of state for higher education Dr. JC Muyingo has urged private school owners to cooperate tirelessly with the parents as the country draws nearer to the reopening of schools.
He cautioned them to create an environment that will attract non-candidates to enjoy school and avoid hiking school dues arbitrarily.
Minister Muyingo made the remarks after casting his vote on Wednesday at Kakoola Church of Uganda polling station in Bamunanika constituency, Luweero district.
He maintains that all parents and teachers must implement COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures to enable learners continue with their studies smoothly and to control the spread of the disease.
He called upon parents to avail all necessary school requirements to the learners more especially the face masks, and thanked them for taking care of the children during this challenging period.
In a related development, the minister thanked all Ugandans for actively participating in the 2021 general election, hence cautioned them to forget politics and engage in developmental programmes.
He also asked the outgoing leaders to work hand in hand with the newly elected leaders to develop the nation.
He pledged to continue supporting the people of Bamunaanika under the Bamunanika Constituency Education Fund project (BACEF).
