Nansana and Entebbe Women murder suspects charged

Two men and one woman suspected to have been behind the killing of women in Nansana in Wakiso District and Entebbe charged with murder

Court has allocated January 4th 2019 as the day to hear the trial of two men and one woman suspected to have been behind the murder of women in Nansana in Wakiso District and Entebbe.

The suspects are Ivan Katongole a businessman dealing in fish export at Kasenyi landing site in Katabi town council in Wakiso District, Andrew Kizito and Hellen Nabaggala.

Rose Nakimuli, a former hair dresser of Kitala zone in Katabi town council in Wakiso District is suspected to have been killed by the suspects.

Wilson Kwesiga the high court judge threatened to release the suspects if the state fails to hold them accountable for the murder cases.

The state attorney Edward Baguma informed court on Monday the case is scheduled for hearing on 4th January 2019.

The Judge therefore appointed three assessors to follow the trial on behalf of the public. The three are suspected to have killed Rose Nakimuli, a former hair dresser of Kitala zone in Katabi town council in Wakiso District.

The evidence presented on Monday shows that Nakimuli was discovered dead in a banana plantation with sticks stuffed in her private parts a day after her disappearance on July 24, 2017.

Ivan Katongole who is the prime suspect in the case was charged with murder together with his counterparts and remanded to Kigo prison until further hearing.
