Opposition politicians want KCCA director George Agaba remanded over murder

Politicians inKampalahave called on the police and the judiciary to remand the suspended KCCA director for Physical Planning George Agaba over murder.

Agaba was yesterday released on police bond, while his bodyguard, Santos Makmot, was remanded to Luzira Prison over murder of civilians in Luzira last week.

The president of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Col. Kiiza Beisgye wonders why Agaba was released yet there is evidence that he pulled the gun out of his car and gave it to his body guard who executed the killing. Agaba and the body guard were arrested on Sunday after the incident.

Makmot, a police detective attached to the Police’s department of Very Important Persons Protection Unit (VIPPU), was charged with murder at the Nakawa Magistrates Court and Agaba was released from Jinja Road Police Station.
