Aruu county MP Samuel Odonga Otto tried to block the creation of new municipalities saying that he had a letter from the PS finance that says it doesn’t have money for the creation of new municipalities but he was over ruled over the matter

The Member of Parliament for Buikwe county North Onyango Kakooba was surprised to see Njeru Municipality pushed to 2016 and replaced with Kamuli municipality yet it was supposed to start this year ahead of Kamuli.

The number of municipalities now has risen to 41 in the country.

However, parliament deferred the handling of the approval of new districts due to lack of quorum and the matter will be dealt with when parliament returns form recess.
