Parliament pays tribute to Al Hajj Aziz Kasujja

Al Hajj Aziz Kasujja,

Parliament has paid tribute to the late Al Hajj Aziz Kasujja, former Electoral chairman who died and was buried last week. The motion to pay tribute to late Aziz Kasujja was moved by the 2nd prime minister and leader deputy leader of government businesses General Moses Ali and seconded by Nakaseke north member of parliament Syda Bumba in a session chaired by the deputy speaker Jacob Oulanyah. Moses Ali on behalf of government commended late Kasujja for contributing a lot in promotion of democracy and economic development through  banking sector and in the  construction of many mosques and schools around the country. He also commended Kasujja for his good work during his term of office as the Electoral commission chairman.
The member of parliament for Nakaseke north county Syda Bumba membered  Kasujja as a  person a role model among muslim community by inspiring them to take their children to school.

The member of parliament for Budadiri west Nathan Nandala Mafabi  says that late Aziz Kasujja was a better chairperson of the electoral commission  since multiparty democracy returned in Uganda. The member of parliament for Ndorwa west  Bahati says Al hajj Kasujja was an honest leader of Electoral Commission, despite the hardships of heading the institution. The member of parliament for Kampala central Mohammed Nsereko asked for forgiveness of late Kasujja of anything which went wrong during his life. Budiope county MP Sulaiman  Balyejjusa Kirunda  has commended the contribution Al hajj Aziz Kasujja made towards Uganda adopting the Islamic Banking concept.

Late Aziz Kasujja was laid to rest at Mbulire village in Bigasa Sub County in Bukomansimbi district on 18th April ,he succumbed to heart complications at Platinum hospital  where he  died at 77 years.
