Parliament has paid a tribute to the late Suzan Namaganda in recognition to her contribution especially in regard to reviving coffee growing in the country and as a role model to the youth. Members of Parliament shared expressions of sympathy with the grieving families of the late MP which joined parliament for a special sitting to remember her good work in the country.
The motion to pay tribute was moved by the Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda who remembered her for the passionate love for Agriculture. The speaker of parliament Rebecaa Kadaga says that late Namaganda was a humble leader who performed her duties diligently. The Buganda parliamentary caucus chairperson who is also Mityana north MP Godfrey Kiwanda says late Namaganda will be remembered greatly for her good work for Buganda development economically.
 
Opposition chief Cecilia Ogwal took this opportunity to ask government to explain why the budget of agriculture has continued to reduce. Minister Muyingo said that the country has lost the caring leader who had unique approach to issues without being extremist. Muyingo noted that it is time to look at the curriculum at the driving schools to reduce on the number of substandard drivers on the roads who are always causing accidents and killing people.
The shadow Attorney General Abdul Katuntu says that the late Namaganda was a patriotic young woman who loved her country adding that young people are burdened with the responsibilities which are for the older people because some of older persons are not patriotic. Katuntu called on Government to find new measures to curb the increased road accidents in Uganda.
Minister of state for primary health care Sarah Opendi says that Police should investigate why the driver in the vehicle that killed Namganda crossed from his lane and caused this fatal accident. The member of parliament for Buikwe south Dr.Lulume Bayiga moved a motion calling the government to make Masaka road a dual-courage as a way of reducing accidents on this road which has claimed many lives.
 This is the tenth member of parliament to die in the 9th parliament.
