This follows political unrest that has broke out in Mufumbwe constituency in the run up to day’s parliamentary by-elections in Mufumbwe and Milanzi constituencies in North Western and Eastern Provinces. The chairperson of Hichilema’s party (UPND), Ackson Sejani says Hichilema was arrested in one of the villages in Mufumbwe campaigning for his party candidate Elliot Kamondo. Sejan says all members and known supporters of Hichilema party are being hunted by police and others have been arrested. The people of Milanzi and Mufumbwe are voting their area MPs today after the death of their former MPs under mysterious circumstances.
