Police unearth more dirt in Cairo Bank over pensions money

The police have unearthed more rot in the public service relating to the ghost pension  scam.

According to the police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba, a total 945 photos attached to the accounts in Cairo International Bank have irregularities.

Nabakooba says some of the photos appear more than three times on different accounts and some names do not match with the photos.

She says though that some of the pictures might be of innocent people who were irregularly fixed on the account opening forms by some officials in public service.

She also reveals that most of the telephone numbers appearing on the accounts do not exist.

The police’s Criminal Investigations Directorate is currently in the reported irregularities in the payment of pensions that has allegedly caused the loss of over 169bn shillings.
