Recommended food for an anemic person

 

Despite advancements in the world health system, many people especially in low developing countries like Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Tanzania are still suffering from anemia. But the major problem of an anemic person is to identify the proper food he/she is supposed to eat. So it is because of this that today we have brought to you the recommended food for an anemic person.

Plan your meals well so that you get plenty of iron. The best source of this mineral is organic calf’s liver, green leafy vegetables, leeks, cashews, cherries, strawberries, dried fruits, figs, kelp, and eggs are all excellent sources as well.

You may also take a spoon of blackstrap molasses every day, and brewer’s yeast is equally a good source of iron. Taking folic acid and B12 cereals, salads or juices daily also helps a lot to an anemic person. It is further advised to cook your food and drinks in cast-iron pots and pans.
