Red Cross pardons culprits

The Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS) has pardoned some of its members found guility of abuse of office, corruption and neglect of duty. Richard Amadra, the under-secretary general in charge of institutional development was pardoned after he reportedly pleaded with the board.

However the society dismissed its embattled Secretary General, Richard Nataka after he refused to appear before the disciplinary committee of the Red Cross to defend himself against tax evasion and smuggling allegations.
