Residents demonstrate over resignation of Vice president Sekandi

 

The residents of 9 (nine) villages in Masaka district including Kyanamukaka, Kyambazi, Mikomago and Lukodde villages led by their LC1 Chairmen staged a demonstration at Nakibaya River near Kyanamukaka Trading Centre demanding for the resignation of the Vice President of Uganda Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi.

These Ugandans in Masaka want Sekandi, who is also their  are Member of Parliament to resign his post of vice president over his failure to pursue placement of a concrete culvert at the river’s crossing point as he has been promising during all his parliamentary campaigns since 1993 Constituency Assembly elections.

The river has now flooded into the road and the residents have closed the road until Ssekandi fulfills his promise.
