Salaries of KCCA workers to be increased

The Executive Director Kampala Capital City Authority Jenifer Musisi Semakula has assured workers at KCCA that the board is looking forward to address their challenges

Jenifer Musisi said this while addressing the former workers of Kampala city council at city Hall in Kampala. In the same meeting with the stakeholder’s members of the National organization of trade union also attended.

She said the board is to increase on the salary for workers and avail them new contracts under the Kampala Capital City Authority Act.

She said Kampala Capital City Authority is planning to restructure workers through re-applying and the process will be done by the public service commission. She says the process will begin with top officials of KCCA.

However she says that she doesn’t intend to lay off KCC workers, calling upon them to re-apply to the new body KCCA.
