Solve rural urban migration for development, says Ronald Kibuule Youth and Child Affairs Minister

Youths and children state ministerial appointee Ronald Kibuule has observed the need for government to come up with specific programs aimed at reducing rural-urban migration.

According to Kibuule, high concentration of job markets in the towns is leading to  increasing unemployment especially among youths.

He told journalists at parliament shortly after his vetting that many youths leave rural areas to come to urban areas to look for jobs which he says in most cases are not there.

He says many of them after failing to get jobs turn to violent means including rioting and therefore challenged government to come up with policies geared towards encouraging people to stay in rural areas where they can engage in productive work like agriculture
