South Sudan government pays UPDF 6 trillion shillings to fight Sudan rebels

 

South Sudan government has paid Uganda National army, UPDF 6 trillion shillings to fight South Sudan rebels fighting the sharky government of President Salva Kiir.

Sources within UPDF and Uganda government confirmed to us that the money was wired to Statehouse (Uganda) on Monday. It was also agreed that President Salva Kiir would pay the 6 trillion shillings every quarter of the year.

Under this arrangement to be revisisted every three months, UPDF and South Sudan government will sit and determine whether the Uganda army remains in South Sudan.

Speaking from Juba, the commander of the UPDF Joint Task Force Col. Muhanga Kayanja said the review will be held every quarter to evaluate the progress of UPDF on the ground.
