Speaker called out for lack of a moslem appointee to judicial service commission

islamMoslem community has petitioned the speaker of parliament over failure by the president to appoint any Moslem on the judicial service commission. Yesterday the parliament appointments committee vetted seven members of the commission out of the eight that were appointed by the president and none of them was Moslem.

This has prompted the speaker to ask the equal opportunities committee to come up with a report before the end of September on how the president has been appointing officers by the religion.
