Over 300 Students of St Thereza girl’s secondary school – Kagongo, have been suspended following Tuesday’s strike that left school properties worth millions of shillings destroyed.

Students went on strike accusing the school administration poor feeding, suspending their two colleagues and denying them a right to take photographs.

An emergency board meeting that was held yesterday morning resolved to suspend all students until 17thJuly 2011, when they will report back with their parents and pay the damages.

The head mistress Mugarura Oliver said that the students destroyed classroom windows, doors glasses, dormitories, and the staff room, as away of addressing their dissatisfaction over the school management, which she says was not the right channel of communication.

Mugarura explains that students went ahead and destroyed garden plantations of people neighboring the school.
