Students report to schools for second term

Students accompanied by their parent today jammed the streets of fort portal municipality in Kabarole district as they headed to school to kick start the second term of the 2011 academic year.

Business was in high gear at Mpanga markets among other supper markets as students made their final shopping expected to last them for more than a month.

Boda Boda being the most common and efficient means of transport in town, transport rates were almost doubled according to Musinguzi Nicolas a Boda Boda rider Kampala road stage.

Musinguzi explains that the increase in transport rates is due to the high cost of fuel and the high demand since most students going back to school need their services but says the good flow of business was intercepted by the poor climate citing the rains and cold clouds.

At Stanbic Bank the depositing cue was the longest as students banked their school fees followed by the withdraw cue at the Auto Transacting Machine as most parents withdrew money to cover up shopping and school fees expenses.
