Uganda has registered the 8th African woman championship slated for 2012.

The federation of Uganda foot ball association (FUFA) President Lawrence Muiindwa told the media at FUFA house in Mengo that women football has of late become more popular than netball and promised to put much emphasis on developing it.

Mulindwa says they have to put women structures in place including coaching courses in order to create real models among women as it is in the male football.

Mulindwa also distanced himself from the wrangles in the super league division clubs citing AC villa and express clubs but commended the leadership of express for embarking on the process of solving the wrangles.
