The Africa network for the prevention and protection against child abuse and neglect (ANPPCAN) says the high prices of food have led children going hungry which could impact on the low school enrolment.

APPCAN program coordinator Timothy Opobo says the high food prices are fueling malnutrition and domestic violence

Timothy says this has put lives of the children at a more risk of getting much involved in child labor, child neglect, and child trafficking among others.

He therefore called upon the government to provide meals to UPE schools and other social protection for vulnerable children by providing grants for empowerment of those vulnerable Household.
