Secretary-General António Guterres visits the Imvepi refugee settlement Arua district, northern Uganda

The total number of refugees coming to Uganda from South Sudan has hit one million people and the UN refugee agency says that, it needs more funds to support them.

The refugee agency, UNHCR say it has received only 29% of the funds required to settle refugees from South Sudan this year.

UNHCR’s  Assistant  field officer attached to Imvepi settlement center in Arua district Denis Ochit  say that because of the high influx of refugees from south Sudan, they have stopped receiving them in this camp since it has reached its capacity
