If your child stops breathing, what do you have to do? Drowning, severe electric shock and suffocation from fumes, among others, can cause a child’s breathing to stop.
Loss of breath may result into death, so you must act swiftly. Put your ear or check against the child’s mouth and nose to detect any breathing.
If the child isn’t breathing or is bluish in face, tilt the head back by lifting the chin and press the forehead. If breathing doesn’t start immediately, clear the mouth and start artificial respiration.

]]> The ministry of Lands and Environment organised a pre NEMA day in Luzira in one of the wetlands that had been reclaimed by the so called investors. This area measuring approximately 50 acres had been reclaimed by the investors destroying all the natural vegetation and the Lake Victoria breathing point and this was very visible by the colour of the waters at the shores of Lake Victoria in Luzira.

However, the Lands and Environment minister, Miria Mutagamba acknowledges that as an individual she has nothing to do because these investors claim to be having ‘orders’ from above. She was questioning what she should do for the environment if people are receiving orders from above to destroy it.

However she promised to work hand in hand with the local communities and the ministry of lands to stop giving land tittles to areas located in wetlands.
