]]> The election of model farmers across the country is done every financial year. Each district, sub county and parish must all elect model farmers.

The ministry of agriculture, in which the government programme Naads dwells, has requested all districts, divisions, town councils, wards and parish officials to mobilize farmers for this exercise in their respective communities.

We have been told that in Wakiso, Luweero, Kampala and Mukono district among other districts in Buganda kingdom the exercise will run from November 24th to December 30th 2011. The CAO of Wakiso, David Naluwayiro confirms that the elections of model farmers will take place this month.
