Local musician Angella Katatumba has donated ten million shillings in cash to Mulago Hospital intensive care unit for the purchase of a photo therapy machine and a syringe pump. Te donation is part of the Mulago yafe campaign aimed at raising awareness towards better health services and good sanitation standards at Mulago Hospital under the Angella Katatumba charity based organisation.
The initiative has been supported by H.E Gordon Wavamuno, Kampala pharmaceutical industries, Boney Katatumba and Smart Telecom. The photo therapy machine helps premature babies at the intensive care unit get warmth and light.
The cash donation was handed over to the supplier of the machine that will be used at the intensive care unit at the hospital. Angella Katatumba is a Ugandan Singer and Songwriter. She is the daughter of H.E Boney Katatumba, a Ugandan consul to Pakistan. Angella is involved in humanitarian work and has been recognised for it.

HYTES Scholarships: Helping Youth Through Educational Scholarships (HYTES) is a Canadian registered charity that provides scholarships for community minded and financially challenged secondary students in developing countries.

It’s focus is on paying for secondary tuition costs for community minded and financially challenged students in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Guatemala.

Helping Youth Through Educational Scholarships (HYTES) was formed after an inspiring trip to East Africa by founding members Harold and Janet Pliszka and it is a not-for-profit organization that has no affiliation with any government or religion.
