An intelligence report by the Chieftaincy of Military intelligence (CMI) has advised president Museveni and his government to create more jobs for unemployed youths in order to reduce their involvement in strikes, crimes and demonstrations.

The report signed by one of the directors of CMI in charge of economic monitoring indicates that Uganda/government stands to lose in future if the rate at which demonstrations go on.

The report dated March 28th indicates that the demonstrations are about to become chaotic and fatal in case the problem of unemployment is not vigorously looked into. We hear the report has already reached the president’s office.

Besigye was aware of the meeting. It should also be remembered that recently Saleh and other government officials flew to USA to meet Col. Kiiza Besigye when he was bedridden there.

A high ranking detective in CMI has told this informer that the government sent Gen. Saleh to Kasangati to convince Besigye to drop the walk to work protests and forget the past and return to NRM fold. Also recently the government had planned to hold talks with Besigye but unfortunately the programme leaked to the press and it arboted.

The army and police are probing reports that FDC and other opposition parties are secretly recruiting people into rebel activities. This follows intelligence reports last week that led to arrest of two opposition cadres in Nansana who had been reportedly recruited into rebel activities.

Sources in CMI have told us that they have recruited some leaders of these opposition parties to be the ones giving security reports about formation of rebel groups. A source says that most of the youth being recruited into rebel activities are in FDC, JEEMA, and SDP among others.

We have also been told that the opposition elements are being financed by western powers to get the youth engages in rebellions. A source says that the security has got all the names of people who have been recruited and so they will soon be arrested. We have not identified the names of the people being followed due to security reasons.

Uganda’s main opposition party, FDC has got 2.5 million US dollars from Norway to run its anti government activities.  The detectives at CMI have told us that the money was wired to FDC accounts in centenary bank on Saturday.

A source at the FDC villas in Najjanankumbi has also confirmed that they have got the money from Malaysia and Norway and this source was quick to deny that it was going to be used in running anti government campaign.

“It is true we received 2.5 million US dollars from Norway and Malaysia last week respectively and we shall use this money to mobilize our supporters and members around the country,” a source says.

Sheikh Ibrahim Kasozi, the FDC official in charge of Youth affairs says that it is normal for a party like FDC to receive grants from abroad so this money should not raise the eyebrows of the CMI.

Security has been beefed up in Kampala and Entebbe following intelligence reports that the Al Shabaab terrorists are planning to use bad hearted people in Uganda to strike on Kampala during the Christmas season.

According to very impeccable intelligence sources, the security chiefs from ISO, CMI, police and ESO are in secret plans trying to abort the ill plans of the Al Shabaab on Uganda.

Intelligence has also landed on crucial information that some remnants of ADF (Allied Democratic Forces) and LRA (Lord’s Resistance Army) are planning to destabilize Uganda during the same period from the east.

We have been told that the negative elements in ADF and LRA have received money from some Arab countries which want to punish Uganda over the continued stay of UPDF in Somalia.

It is said that the terrorists were planning to unleash terror but their plans have been killed by the Ugandan security in the bud.
