]]> Numbers of children involved in acts of commercial sexual exploitation in the country are  on an increase with the practice common in the district of Masaka, Kalangala, Lyantonde, Kampala, Busia, Malaba, Lira, Gulu, Mbarara and Kasese.

A report released today by Uganda youth development link (UYDEL) in Kampala reveals that girls aged 12 and above have been victims of human trafficking and later turning into commercial sex workers for business men and women.

Rogers KasiryeAccording to the executive director, UYDEL, Rogers Kasirye, the increased has been brought up by poor laws, poverty, early school drop out change in culture among others

Kasirye also blames govt for failing to put in place instruments to cub this vice which has seen many young Ugandans illegally moved to other countries to do illegal activities.

It reported that 18,000 children are doing commercial sex among other illegal businesses in the country from 12,000 last year.
