]]> Uganda’s most feared army general; David Tinyefuza has denounced the name ‘Tinyefuza’ and adopted the name ‘Sejusa.’ So with effect from today Gen. David Tinyefunza will be called Gen. David Sejusa. Sejusa is a Luganda word that means ‘I don’t regret.’ Some sections of Ugandans allege that the general has adopted the name because of his past acts in a military which most people refer to as cruel and inhuman.

Tinyefuza adopted the name Sejusa on February 17th this year according to a deed poll the general signed last week before a Commissioner for Oaths.  According to the deed poll, the general will be addressed as ‘DAVID SEJUSA’  at all times, by all persons, in records, dealings, transactions, instruments and otherwise whatsoever.

Gen. David Sejusa was born on November 13, 1954 in Sembabule District and he holds a Masters of Law Degree from Makerere University.
