Uganda will offer consular services to the Ugandan community in Southern Sudan after the establishment of her permanent diplomatic representation in South Sudan by constructing an embassy in Juba. Juba is the capital city of South Sudan.

The Kampala government plans to construct a mission block, apartment block, generator house, and gate house and boundary wall at a whopping 67 billion Uganda shillings.

The land on which Uganda government plans to construct permanent structure was donated to it by the government of South Sudan to enable the Ugandan government set up a market for the Ugandan traders in Juba and an embassy.

The foreign affairs ministry in Uganda says an establishment of a permanent Uganda embassy in Juba will reduce on the high cost of rent and administration in Juba.
South Sudan got her independence on 9th July 2011 after the people of south Sudan voted to secede from Khartoum government. The secession ended the over 20 years of civil war between the Arab-dominated Khartoum and the Christian dominated South Sudan.

The new leadership in Libya has announced that stamps on official and consular documents bearing the symbols of the regime of late Col. Muammar Gadaffi ‘the great’ as null and void.

The statement the new leaders of Libya sent to all African presidents reads, “the Libyan government announces the cancellation of all official and consular stamps bearing the names of the, “Great socialist Peoples Libyan Arab Jamahiriya” and “the Libyan Arab Peoples’ bureau.”

However it has been also cleared that the new changes will not affect the Libyan documents in the hands of world governments. Any document signed prior to the new leadership in Libya remains valid because the defunct government of Gadaffi was then recognized worldwide. The people travelling to Libya must have documents bearing the new stamps. Gadaffi’s leadership collapsed in August when the former rebels of the Libyan Transitional National Council over throw the old regime.
