]]> Gen. Salim Saleh, who is also president Museveni’s brother, has reportedly held closed door talks with the president of FDC, Col. Kiiza Besigye. Saleh we are told met Col. Besigye at his home in Kasangati and we are further told that Col.

Besigye was aware of the meeting. It should also be remembered that recently Saleh and other government officials flew to USA to meet Col. Kiiza Besigye when he was bedridden there.

 A high ranking detective in CMI has told this informer that the government sent Gen. Saleh to Kasangati to convince Besigye to drop the walk to work protests and forget the past and return to NRM fold. Also recently the government had planned to hold talks with Besigye but unfortunately the programme leaked to the press and it arboted.
