This was resolved following a meeting held today at parliament.

The chairperson of the group Felix OkotOgong said among those to be met is the Prime Minister AmamaMbabazi and all ministers who are responsible for the implementation of the program.

He also says they are to meet the donors and also seek an appointment with president Museveni to forge a way forward.

Sound Okot meeting resolutions

This comes days after more donors announced suspension of funds following the corruption scandal currently bogging the Office of the prime minister.

We have landed on shocking information that the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) of Col. Kiiza Besigye has run broke and most of its workers have not been paid their wages and salaries for the last three months.

A source at FDC intimated to our informer that Besigye’s party has not received donor funding since March. We are told that some leading donors of opposition parties in Uganda are not happy by the way FDC performed in last February general polls. Besigye has unsuccessfully contested thrice for president.

A source sitting on FDC National Executive Committee tells us that the money the party has been basing on to run its activities has been coming from Besigye as an individual.

It further explains that some of the donors give Besigye money as an individual and he is free to divert it to party activities or not. One of the leading FDC sponsors is conservative parties in US and Europe.
