Agha Sekalala of radio Simba

Much as Sekalala is a popular businessman in town few people have ever seen his wife or wives. Sekalala’s wife is also a silent powerful business lady in Kampala .

 Robert Kabushenga

He is the managing editor of the New Vision. He is a married man with three kids. However it is easy to get a visa to go to USA than finding Kabushenga with his wife at a public event.

Emperor Orlando

He is one of Uganda ’s celebrated musicians. He has one wife and five children. They stay together in Bakuli Rubaga division. Orlando like all other personalities mentioned above, he rarely moves with his wife.

Lawyer Yusufu Nsibambi

Before walking down the aisle, lawyer Yusufu Nsibambi and his wife were inseparable. But after he set up a shop for her in Kampala , the lawyer remained at his profession and the wife concentrated on her shop business.

Nasser Ntege Sebaggala

The former mayor of Kampala might be one of the popular guys in town, but he never moves with his wife. May be it is because he has many wives. Even during his political struggles, Sebaggala never showed himself to the public in company of his wives.

Peter Sematimba

He is a very popular businessman and trying politician in town. Millions of Ugandans know him by face, his businesses and political party. But we beat not even one thousand people can identify his wife. Even during the mayoral polls which he lost, every one moved with his wife but Sematimba never came out in the limelight with his wife.

The 54th son of the former president of Uganda, Late Iddi Amin Dada, Taban Amin has denied recent media reports that one of their family members organised an alcohol tournament and in the process one of the participants ‘kicked the bucket’ (died).

Taban says that the tournament was organised by another person and Sadiq Amin, a grandson of Amin went there to watch.

When a person died, the police arrested him on allegations that he was the one who organised the event.

Sadiq who contested for Busia town mayorship in the recent elections was arrested by the police in Busia last week. The man died after sipping four bottles of waragi on his way to hospital. Taban says that because their family member was falsely accused he was later released.

The Uganda police has warned Ugandans to be alert and avoid dalling victim of conmen promising jobs and meetings with big government officials.

The Police Spokesperson, Judith Nabakooba says many people are falling victim of conmen promising them jobs, tenders and meeting ministers or even the President.

She says the police is investigating 10 suspected conmen arrested over the weekend for allegedly fleecing money from over 6000 Ugandans from different parts of the country.

Nabakooba says that the ten suspects including their leader Yusuf Kasaja were arrested in Ndeeba after collecting money from a group of 6000 people they had convinced that they were to attend the launch of the Uganda Movement Volunteers Association to be presided over by President Yoweri Museveni at Kololo Airtstrip.

Nabakooba said that arrests were made after Police  found the 6000 people trying to access Kololo Airstrip for the event yet the authorities in charge of the venue had not been contacted by the organizers of the said event.

Cautioning the public against joining the mushrooming organisation without sufficient information, Nabakooba said that police learnt that the some victims had to sell their properties back home to raise fees for registration, a T-shirt and transport fares.
Without mention the expenses meant, the police spokesperson also noted that the police had to feed the hungry 6000 people  before transporting them back to their respective districts.

Nabakooba revealed that police is now seeking for a court order to investigate the accounts of the Uganda Movement Volunteers Association  as to ascertain the amount of money fleeced from the unsuspecting Ugandans
