The police under the command of Jinja police commander, Ben Mubangizi have deployed heavily around the Busoga palace in Bugembe town, Jinja district following threats of attacking it by the Anti-King Wambuzi’s group.

The throne of Busoga Kingdom is facing controversy about who is the right successor of late Wako Muloki.

Fredrick Kakaire went to court in 2008 disregarding the installation of Edward Columbus Wambuzi but last week the High Court in Jinja dismissed the case declaring Wambuzi the rightful successor.

The Busoga Kingdom Prime Minister Wilson Muwereza who seems to be moving with the court ruling however says that Wambuzi has to go through other processes to be fully installed as the King (Kyabazinga).
