The new leadership in Libya has announced that stamps on official and consular documents bearing the symbols of the regime of late Col. Muammar Gadaffi ‘the great’ as null and void.

The statement the new leaders of Libya sent to all African presidents reads, “the Libyan government announces the cancellation of all official and consular stamps bearing the names of the, “Great socialist Peoples Libyan Arab Jamahiriya” and “the Libyan Arab Peoples’ bureau.”

However it has been also cleared that the new changes will not affect the Libyan documents in the hands of world governments. Any document signed prior to the new leadership in Libya remains valid because the defunct government of Gadaffi was then recognized worldwide. The people travelling to Libya must have documents bearing the new stamps. Gadaffi’s leadership collapsed in August when the former rebels of the Libyan Transitional National Council over throw the old regime.

A delegation of military men of Libya’s National Transitional Council (NTC) is in Uganda. The Arab soldiers arrived in Uganda last week according to Uganda’s military intelligence sources.

The Libyan soldiers have already met with Uganda’s ministry of foreign affairs officials and discussed mechanisms under which Libya and Uganda can work.

The minister of Foreign Affairs, Okello Oryemu (Uganda) says that Uganda is ready to work with NTC and to receive their representatives.

The post Col. Muammar Gadaffi Government also wants to have an ambassador to Uganda. Oryemu also says that Uganda was ready to reopen its mission in Libya. Uganda (president Museveni) was at first opposed to the pro-democracy war led by the NTC against Gadaffi. The war ended with the death of Brother Col. Muammar Gadaffi.

He was once a happy man and a diplomat. But all his happiness fell with the downfall of the Libyan leader, Col. Muammar Gadaffi.  After Gadaffi, a man who loved all Africans, Arabs and Muslims with all his heart was killed near Tripoli, the problems of Libya’s ambassador to Uganda, Ambassador Abdullah Bujeldain ensued. The government of Uganda asked him to vacate the embassy and hand it over to the new Libyan government.

The Uganda government also stripped his diplomatic immunity and asked him to vacate his residence in Nakasero, Kampala. A source at the Libyan Embassy in Kampala told our journalists that Ambassador Abdullah Bujeldain pleaded with president Museveni to have mercy upon him in vain.

Museveni, Gadaffi and Ambassador Abdullah Bujeldain were close friends. We are told that it was Abdullah Bujeldain whom Uganda would reportedly send toTripoli to receive money from Gadaffi meant to develop Uganda. But after the down fall of Gadaffi, Bujeldain is forgotten andUgandawants him out of the country.

A source at the Libyan embassy in Kampala intimated to us that Ambassador Abdullah Bujeldain is now seeking for an asylum in Uganda for fear of being guilttoned if he goes back to Libya.Uganda’s Foreign Affair’s minister, Okello Oryemu says that Abdullah Bujeldain was evicted because as far as the government of Uganda is concerned, he is no longer the representative of the Libyan government to Uganda.

Transparency International wants all African leaders who have voraciously stolen national wealth from their respective countries removed from power and prosecuted in international court of justice rather than waiting for them to first quit power.

Many African heads of states reportedly steal their countries resources and hide them on bank accounts and real estates in America and Europe.

Take an example of the former president of Zaire (now renamed the Democratic Republic of Congo), the late Mobutu Sese Sekou Wazabanga. The man reportedly stole millions of USA dollars and stashed it away in various European and USA bank accounts and left his country one of the poorest in the world. Transparence international now wants all forgotten riches of African presidents frozen until they are returned to Africans the way France, USA and England froze the ill-gotten wealth of the former Libyan leader, Col. Muammar Gadaffi.

Transparency International says that the time for African leaders to embezzle funds with impunity should be forgotten completely. This is the reason the French government is investigating three sitting African presidents for their ill-gotten wealth that have been squirreled in various parts of France.

The presidents in question are Ali Bongo of Gabon, Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo Brazzaville and Teodoro Obiang of Equatorial Guinea.  Many people in Uganda wish that France also investigates Ugandan leaders who are reported to have bank accounts in various cities across Europe and USA. Many families of African heads of states have been accused of having ill gotten wealth and showing staggering extravagancy.

After the down fall of the greatest son of Africa and Libyan leader, Col. Muammar Gadaffi, the republic of Uganda now is walking in his former foot steps with a plan to establish the United States of Africa (USA), Walakira Nyanzi reports.

We are told that Uganda wants to use the eight member states of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development to establish the United States of Africa. IGAD is meeting in Kampala at Speke Resort Hotel at a place called Munyonyo.

The member states of IGAD are Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, Kenya, Sudan, Eritrea, South Sudan and Uganda. IGAD is one of the African economic blocks which are working with other economic blocks in Africa to ensure that they form a single block for the African region by 2028 in accordance with the 1991 Abuja Treaty.

A source told us that Uganda and other members of IGAD want to use the African block was its fully established into the United States of Africa with headquarters in Kampala, East Africa. Currently IGAD is discussing the gradual removal of tariff and non-tariff barriers affecting Africans and the benefits of a free trade area.
