Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda.

The Prime Minister, Dr.Ruhakana Rugunda, has launched the Presidential Advisory Committee on the Budget (PACOB) that is to ensure there is no bureaucratic implementation to the budget.

Launching the Committee at the Prime Minister’s Office, Rugunda says that PACOB is to align the budget to key priorities in the Second National Development Plan (NDP2), Vision 2040 and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) manifesto 2016/2021.

According to sources, the committee to be chaired by Rugunda himself contains about 30 ministers.

Rugunda says that the committee will task ministries and public servants to implement the budget allocation within the specified period of time.
