Australian Development Scholarships (ADS): The Africa ADS program provides academic scholarships to undertake Master Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas to nationals of African and other developing countries.

Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) are a central part of the Australian Government’s development cooperation program inAfrica.

The Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) scheme offers the opportunity to people from developing countries to study in priority sector coursed at Australian universities.

By providing people with the knowledge and skills to promote development in their home country, the ADS scheme aims to reduce poverty, promote good governance, and contribute to the human resource base of targeted countries and complement other Australian development projects.

Australian Development Scholarship Benefits:

Scholarships are offered for the minimum period necessary for the individual to complete the academic program specified by the institution, including any preparatory training.

Benefits:

  • Tuition.
  • Airfare – Payment of a single return, economy class airfare to and fromAustralia, via the most direct route.
  • Establishment Allowance – A once only payment as a contribution towards expenses such as rental bonds, text books, study materials, additional medical insurance, home contents insurance, excess baggage upon return home etc.
  • Contribution to Living Expenses – a fortnightly contribution to basic living expenses paid at a rate determined by AusAID.

Eligibility back:

  • Interns will have completed their undergraduate studies in a relevant discipline (e.g. economics, law, political science, international relations), and shall have completed at least one year of their postgraduate studies.
  • The minimum age for an intern shall be 21 years and the maximum age 30 years.
  • A roster of suitable candidates is maintained from which interns are selected.

In addition to the regular internship programme, the need may also arise to recruit interns at short notice for particular tasks.

These recruits will also be drawn from the roster. Names will not be maintained on the roster for longer than one year.

Contractual Terms and Conditions back:

  • Paid interns receive a daily allowance of CHF 60 (including week-ends and official holidays falling within the selected period). No other remuneration of any kind shall be paid.
  • Internships take place in Geneva, Switzerland only. Travel expenses to and from Geneva cannot be paid by the WTO, and such travel is not covered by the Organization’s insurance. Interns are also responsible for their own insurance cover for illness and accidents while they are working at the WTO.
  • The WTO may also employ unpaid interns funded from external sources.
  • Internships are generally of a duration of up to 24 weeks, the length of the internship depending on the project the interns is requested to work on, and on the needs of each Division.
  • An internship can be terminated by the WTO Secretariat or by the intern with one week’s notice. Huygens Scholarship Programme – Netherlands: The Huygens Scholarship Programme is open to students from all countries of the world.

It is aimed at talented students who want to study in Netherlands in the final phase of their bachelor’s studies or during their master’s studies.

Study can include research and/or practical training.

The Dutch Minister for Education, Culture and Science has made four million euros available for international students coming to the Netherlands under the HSP Huygens programme.

There is no fixed number of available scholarships, but the actual number is determined by the total cost of the variable components of the scholarships.

Scholarships are awarded for a period of no less than six months and no more than 24 months.

They include the following components:

  • a monthly allowance of €900 euros (this includes a standard contribution towards healthcare insurance).
  • visa fees (standard contribution)
  • the full cost of tuition fees

I. Details of the Scholarship

Chinese Government Scholarship scheme is established to provide full scholarship and partial scholarship to international students.

Ocean University of China (hereinafter referred to as the University or OUC) is authorized to administer the recruitment of the international government scholarship students who will study in the University.

A. Full scholarship

The Scholarship includes:

1. Tuition

2. Accommodation on campus (Note: water and electricity fee should be afforded by the student him/herself)

3. Monthly Living allowance:

  • Master degree students, scholars: CNY 1,100 yuan per month;
  • Doctoral degree students, scholars: CNY 1,400 yuan per month;

4. Medical insurance based on the stipulated insurance articles;

B. Partial ScholarshipAwarded are one or some items of the full scholarship (one-off settlement subsidy and one-off inter-city travel allowance not included).

II. MBA program in English

1. Study Duration; From One and half year to Three years

  • Management Information System
  • Marketing
  • Operation Management
  • Financial Management
  • Strategic Management
  • Business Negotiation
  • Human Resource Management
  • Logistics Management & Supply Chain Management
  • Finance

III. Eligibility

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health.

2. Education background and age limit.

  • Applicants for master degree studies must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.

IV. Application Materials

The applicants must fill in and provide the following materials truly and correctly (in duplicate).

1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (printed by CSC, – one original and one photocopy, in Chinese or in English.

2. Notarized Copy of bachelor’s degree.

If applicants are university students or already employed, they should also provide relevant documents to prove.

Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.

3. Original transcript (or a notarized copy).

Applicants for Master degree program or Doctoral degree program need to provide Original transcripts (stamped by the university).

Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.

4. A study or research plan in Chinese or in English (no less than 500 words/2 pages).

5. Two letters of recommendation.

Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors.

6. CV – The CV is to introduce your education background, your experience or your publication in relative research field done before.

7. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (printed by Chinese quarantine authority and only for those whose period of studies in China lasts up to six months, please refer to the attached file 2) filled in English.

The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form.

Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.

The medical examination results will be valid for 6 months.

All applicants are kindly requested to take this factor into consideration while determining the time to take the medical examination.

The original Foreigner Physical Examination Form will be certified by the local authorities.

In the case of failure to pass certification, a new physical examination must be done at the stipulated hospitals.

Australian Development Scholarships (ADS): The Africa ADS program provides academic scholarships to undertake Master Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas to nationals of African and other developing countries.

Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) are a central part of the Australian Government’s development cooperation program in Africa.

The Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) scheme offers the opportunity to people from developing countries to study in priority sector coursed at Australian universities.

By providing people with the knowledge and skills to promote development in their home country, the ADS scheme aims to reduce poverty, promote good governance, and contribute to the human resource base of targeted countries and complement other Australian development projects.

Australian Development Scholarship Benefits:

Scholarships are offered for the minimum period necessary for the individual to complete the academic program specified by the institution, including any preparatory training.

Benefits:

  • Tuition.
  • Airfare – Payment of a single return, economy class airfare to and from Australia, via the most direct route.
  • Establishment Allowance – A once only payment as a contribution towards expenses such as rental bonds, text books, study materials, additional medical insurance, home contents insurance, excess baggage upon return home etc.
  • Contribution to Living Expenses – a fortnightly contribution to basic living expenses paid at a rate determined by AusAID.
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) – provided to cover the student’s basic medical costs.
  • Pre-course English – if deemed necessary may be available for students for in-country and/or in-Australia training.
  • Supplementary Academic Support (Tutorial Assistance) – May be available when essential to improving the student’s performance to ensure their academic success.
  • Fieldwork – May be available for eligible research students.
