The mp for Ndorwa west David Bahati and the woman MP for Kabale district  Ronah Ninsiima said that the district hospital has spent 7 years without any surgeon.

The MPS said that kabale hospital serves 400,000 people and currently sent patients who are in need of surgeon service to Mbarara hospital

Kabale MPS are expected to  explain the problem to the minister of Health  Christine Andoa when she goes to Kabale for the district Development conference  scheduled for 1^st to 2^nd July at White Horse Inn hotel

The hospitals mortuary that was constructed in 1935 has only ten slots and too small to accommodate the ever increasing number of the dead bodies. The situation is increasing becoming un bearer.

The roofs are leaking and some people have been calling for rehabilitation of the existing structures.

The hospital administrator Tumwesigye Richard says they have been lobbying from the health ministry to construct a modern mortuary but their requests have been turned down.

The hospital administrator says the hospital budget is strained to facilitate the rehabilitation of the existing mortuary

Kabale hospital only receives 100 million shillings annually to run all its activities.

Sylvia Baguma the kabale district chairperson says the condition in which the hospital is, is unacceptable.

Hospital authorities added that the mortuary need to be upgraded to met the ever increasing number of death and good body preservation equipment.
