The mayor on Thursday 24^th June 2010 petitioned the town clerk of Kampala, Ruth Kijjambu calling for the interdiction of the team’s leader and city engineer, Stephen Kinyera for failing to implement the decisions approved by KCC council.

Ssebagala said that funds meant for maintaining Kampala city roads have been withheld on several occasions yet the roads are in poor shape.

The councilors held a special session in which they demanded KCC town clerk Ruth Kijjambu to take action or they petition to the Ministry of Local Government.

Meanwhile, KCC members of the technical team have been locked up in a meeting today (25th June 2010) to discuss ways to break the impasse.
