Mwijukye Francis, Mugusha Sam, Ingrid Turinawe charged with Treason

Forum FOR democratic change (FDC) iron leaders Mwijukye Francis, Mugumya Sam and Ingrid Turinawe have appeared at nakawa court for mention of their treason case.

The trio appeared at Nakawa court on Monday at 9:00am morning. Mugumya says that very soon we are going to put up a strong peaceful protest to this persecution.

Mugumya says that the government formulated the treason charges to disorganise them politically, socially and economically.

FDC receives $2m from German

The members of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) are smiling from west to left because their party has received $2m from German to be used in the legal battles the party is currently facing.

As we talk now FDC is battling a court case at Nakawa Chief Magistrate’s Court in which three Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) officials and others are charged with treason in connection with walk-to-work protests.

The chief magistrate of Nakawa court, Esta Nambayo heard last week that the case was still before the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

Nambayo last week adjourned the case to March 12, 2012 for hearing. The three FDC officials facing treason charges include Ingrid Turinawe (FDC women league leader), Francis Mwijukye (leader of FDC youth), and Sam Mugumya (FDC president Col Kizza Besigye’s aide). Sources say that FDC is going to use the money to pay the lawyers defending its officials at Nakawa court.

Nvanungi buys Range rover

Singer Sheila Nvanungi has bought herself a brand new range rover from one of the car centres in Nakawa, Kampala.

We have been informed that Nvanungi bought the range rover last week claiming that she is tired of men buying her cars.

Many people have seen Nvanungi cruising her range rover in a group of some men seated in the back seats. Nvanungi who claims to be hotter than most of the women inKampalawe also hear are preparing to introduce her hubby anytime this year.

Nvanungi many times refers to her hubby as doctor. So when you hear that Nvanungi has introduced her hubby don’t get surprised.

Government to cut Kampala into smaller units

The government is again planning to chop Kampala and other areas into smaller political administrative units. Currently Kampala is made up of five divisions.

These are Nakawa, Makindye, Kampala Central, Kawempe and Lubaga division. We hear that the government wants to divide the above divisions into more units because of their big population.

President Museveni’s brother, Dan Kaguta says that another area to be divided into smaller administrative unit is Makindye Sabagabo Sub County. He says that the area is going to be divided because it is soon going to be elevated to a municipality status and Nakawa division is to be divided into two.
