]]> Civil society organizations have asked parliament to clean the proposed public order management bill which was tabled before parliament because in its present form is intended to violate people’s rights.

The civil society organizations made the demand a head of parliament public hearing on the public order management by the legal and parliamentary affairs committee this week.

Addressing a joint news conference at hotel Africana in Kampala CSOs which include Action Aid, HURINET and Centre For constitutional Governance said that the bill was brought in bad faith to restrict the content of political discussions and space.

The Executive Director Centre for constitutional Governance Major Okwiri Rabwoni said that the public order management bill should be regulatory but not prohibitive as it is in the current form.
