When love is new, both lovers feel an excitement and a flow of romance. Lots of loving and pleasure moments. Love all feels awesome and heavenly. Then few months or days later, the excitement fades away and one partner still deal it patiently.

S/he may keep on loving, and caring with the same intensity and yet feeling hurt because of cold responses from the other partner. A few days passes by and then their loves comes at a stage where the one who was putting efforts in love starts to give up-because his/ her efforts seems useless. The love and care seems to get lost somewhere! Finally it comes on the verge of breaking up not because of misunderstanding but because of ignorance of each others feelings!

Guys and girls: – relationship is not about caring in the beginning but loving each other more and more with each passing day. It is about never fighting but with how less time you both take to forget the fight and love back. Both partners need to put in some efforts because a relationship is for two people and not just one sided sacrifice. Both partners need to show they love each other and are important in their lives. Don’t lose someone who loves you so much just because of other priorities in life-because if you won’t have your love beside you, success and other happiness won’t matter much. Always hold that hand tightly who loves you with all his/her heart and never let go in any case, because later in life you may realize your mistake but at that time he/she may not be their waiting for you!! Early Career Fellowships:

The Future Agricultures Consortium (FAC) aims to encourage critical debate and policy dialogue on the future of agriculture in Africa. Founded in 2005, the Consortium is a partnership between leading research-based organizations in Africa and the UK, with work focusing on Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Ghana, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

FAC is proud to announce its grant programme to support talented young researchers working on African agricultural policy: FAC’s Early Career Fellowship Programme (ECFP).

The Early Career Fellowship (ECFP) is available to early career professionals working in Africa and the UK. Both full-time and part-time appointments are available and all fellowships will include mentorship support from a senior FAC researcher affiliated with a FAC partner institution. The awards will support original field-based and policy-oriented research on African agriculture.

Fellowship Awards

Three types of awards are available:

1. one-year fulltime post-Masters or post-doc appointment (£10,000 each). Four positions are available for African nationals conducting research in Africa.

2. one-year part-time post-Masters or post-doc appointment (£5,000 each). Three positions are available for African nationals conducting research in Africa.

3. six-month fulltime post-doc appointment (£12,500 each). Two positions available for researchers based in the UK.

Applications should be in line with one of FAC’s eight thematic areas:

Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have no more than three years active post-Masters or post-doctoral experience at the time that their FAC Fellowship starts.

Those who submitted their Masters dissertation or doctoral there are more than three years before the date they wish to start their fellowship will not be eligible, except where the applicant has interrupted their career for family, health or other personal reasons.

Applications are invited from young researchers who have recently completed their degree in an appropriate development-related field, including agricultural or applied economics, anthropology, development studies, environmental science and policy (including climate change), gender studies, geography, political science, public administration, rural sociology, science and technology studies, etc.

The focus is on junior candidates early in their careers with a strong interest in conducting research on agricultural policy issues in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Every year, from August to December, the Research Partnership Programme (RPP) provides five researchers from developing and transitional countries the opportunity to be research partners at the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR).

The programme is funded by Danish International Development Assistance (Danida) and organised by the DIHR. It appeals to both junior (Master’s degree/equivalent) and senior researchers (PhD/equivalent).

The aim of the RPP is to:

• Strengthen research capacities in academic institutions in developing or transitional countries

• Upgrade and expand human rights expertise and documentation

• Consolidate DIHRs contacts with human rights research institutions and networks in partner countries

• Attract strong human rights research projects

Research Grants An RPP grant covers expenses in relation to accommodation, insurance and international flights. Moreover, research partners will receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses in Denmark.

 Accordingly, the list of candidates vying for the 9Ugandaslots in the EALA, which most parties have been keeping as a top secret has finally leaked to the press.

 The opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has three candidates in the race so far Salaam Musumba, former MP for Busongora South, Christopher Kibazanga and former Lead of Opposition in Parliament, Prof. Ogenga Latigo.   

The Democratic Party is yet to present a candidate for the DP slot although by court order the DP chief Legal advisor Fred Denis Mukasa Mbidde seems to be enjoying an automatic right to take it up.

 Former MP Ben Wacha, who is also an FDC member, is to contest on an independent ticket. Former presidential candidate Mohammad Kibirige Mayanja is the official candidate of Jeema while former MP for Lubaga South, Suzan Nampijja is the person the CP president John Ken Lukyamuzi has fronted for EALA seat. The candidate of Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) is city lawyer Peter Walubiri.

 The National Resistance Movement has three slots for EALA and the party has fronted former lands minister, Omara Atubo (chosen by President Museveni), Hope Mwesigye backed by prime Minister Amama Mbabazi and Former Makerere Guild President, Sara Kagingo who is also fronted by backed by Mbabazi. We have reliably learnt that the former EALA Members, Lydia Wanyoto, Dan Kidega and Mike Sebalu among others are not going to be re-fronted by their respective parties.
