As the year 2011 is soon coming to an end, born again churches in Uganda is busy preparing for the Passover festival that will welcome the New Year 2012.

There is confusion when it comes to churches announcing the pastors among other preachers who will preach at different places.

You can hear one pastor being announced to be in more than seven places in one night and at the same time and one wonders whether the pastors will divide themselves into pieces.

There are several posters announcing Passover festivals at different parts of the country pinned on electricity poles, walls and others dumped along the roads.

All posters announce that the Passover festivals will take place on December 31st. The posters indicate that the pastors will deliver powerful messages that the demons will scatter.

The head of born again churches, Pastor Joseph Serwada says that the official Passover festival will take place at Namboole National stadium while his rival, Pastor David Kiganda of Christian focus Centre in Kampalaalso says that the parallel Passover festival will take place at Nakivubo stadium.

Each pastor who advises for the festival claims that the power of God will come down unto the people and break all the bandages.

No more overnight prayers-pastor David Kiganda of Christianity Focus Center

Born Again churches in Uganda have decided to end Night prayers at midnight as one of the security measures following bomb blasts in Uganda.

The Chairman of Ugandan Born Again Churches Association, Pastor David Kiganda said the resolution was reached after a meeting with Kampala mayor, Nassar Ssebagala.

Kiganda says the born again churches in Uganda have agreed that their night prayers which normally go on throughout the night end at mid-night and that the churches coordinate more with police to ensure security of their flock.

He appealed to church members to accept to be checked and not to be surprised to find police at entrances to churches as security at places where people congregate is a matter of national importance.

On his part, Kampala Mayor Ssebagala assured night prayer goers in Kampala that the measure is a temporally one which will be lifted after the security situation in Uganda normalizes.
