Thieves sweep former president’s home clean

Insurance companies will have to come to the rescue of the former Makerere University Guild president because we hear thugs last night swept his home in Nakasero when he was away for burial in Gulu.

When Denis Okema returned home with his family, his house was wide open with no trace of his property, save for rolls of toilet pepper.

Like he was possessed Okema rushed to neighbours and shouted ‘my house has been swept clean and all the property stolen.’

The neighbours also came and checked his house and found it empty. Okema has now reported the matter to the area police post and as usual the force is hunting for the thugs. The police are yet to nab the people who stole Okema’s property.

Two Uganda Policemen killed on road

At least six people including two policemen have died in a motor accident today on Kampala Gulu highway. The place of the accident is Kalule near Wobulenzi town council.

The accident involved a Gaga bus Reg No UAL 158Z that rammed into a stationary truck with aSudan’s number plate CE 998b killing the six people on spot.

The dead policemen were identified as John Bisaso and Emmanuel Lwanga, both attached at Kalule police post in Luweero district. Five million shillings and two guns were recovered from the scene of the accident.

The eye witnesses and the police have both attributed the accident to over speeding and reckless driving on the part of the bus driver. The accident was confirmed by the traffic investigations officer of Luweero district, Patrick Mugisha.

Bobi wine denies murders took place at his One love Beach in Busabala

Singer Bobi Wine has distanced his one love beach from the death of the 2 gentle men who were found dead on Tuesday morning.

The men Patrick Nyonyintono and Ronald Kasozi were found dead by police in Busabala on Tuesday morning.

However Bobi Wine says that the bodies were found at least 1 kilometer away from his beach.

He further noted that the 2 gentle men were not his employee as the media earlier reported. He says that they were operating a car packing in their compound since the whole Busabala area was busy.

Bobi also further says that one love beach had about 250 police officers patrolling the area, his show ended at 1am yet the twomen were discovered at 3am in a place called kazi and his beach is located in walulenzi zone.

He has now given the police a piece of land to construct a police post and promises to go ahead and construct the post if police takes long.
