President Yoweri Museveni might be headed for bigger times in the music industry, if the interest in his debut rap song keeps the current momentum.

His song “You want another rap” has become a popular tune on many radio and tv stations, as well as online with many people mixing and remixing the song where the president rapped in his native Kinyankole.

Now top musicians in the country have also noticed the raw talent in the 60 plus old Museveni who is campaigning to retain the Presidency seat under the National Resistance Movement ticket.

While appearing on UBC TV recently, one of Uganda’s celebrated musicians Jose Chameleon said that he is ready to do collaboration with the President to give Museveni’s rap a new professional feel.

Chameleon hinted that he wants to contact the President to do a duet of the song “You want another rap” which is majorly sung in Kinyankole.

Though Museveni rapped jokingly to show a group of youths he was addressing that hip hop music originated from African heritage, his rhymes became popular after DJ Shiru produced it for airplay, and other people innovated with matching pictures of the President to create the video for the song.
