The Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development has received funds to be used for the acquisition of Consultancy services for training national youth in entrepreneurship skills development. The ministry now invites sealed bids from eligible organisations/institutions for provision of Consultancy services for training national youth in entrepreneurship skills development.

We have been told that the bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and it is open to all bidders from eligible source countries. Sources in the ministry tell us that interested bidders may obtain more information from the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development.

Also a complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 100,000/= .

The method of payment is by bank .The document will be handpicked by the provider. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery, the sources said.

1,500 jobs at Bank of Uganda

Job seekers should now read this! Bank of Uganda has invited bids from bidders for the provision of Guard Services at headquarters, currency centres and regional branches.

According to the management of Bank of Uganda, a complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non refundable fee of 10,000 shillings at the counter in the banking hall of Bank of Uganda headquarters in Kampala. The bid documents are obtained up to 3pm of Monday 2^nd April 2012.

The bids must be delivered to Bank of Uganda headquarters before 3pm on 13^th April and late bids shall be rejected. The management of Bank of Uganda says that bids shall be opened in the presence of the bidders representatives on April 13^th. Kyambogo University Courses and Tuition fees

The Academic Registrar Kyambogo University invites applicants for private sponsorship admissions to the following undergraduate programmes for 2011/2012 academic year under the Direct Entry Scheme (O’ and A’ Level leavers only). A non-refundable fee of Shs.25,000/= for (Ugandans) and $ 30 (International applicants), bank charges inclusive, must be paid at any Stanbic Bank, on the Kyambogo University Academic Registrar’s Departmental Account No.0140015345801 and a receipt obtained from the University cashier before collecting the application form from the Admissions office. Detailed admission requirement documents should only be obtained at the designated collection/drop-off points or downloaded from the website www.kyu.ac.ug. (Be aware of fraudsters out to cheat unsuspecting applicants by selling to them unauthorized information).
Original bank slip and receipt must be attached to the application form before submission. The closing date for returning filled application forms is 17th June, 2011.
N.B. (i). Applicants who wish to apply for Certificate programmes must fill a separate application form.
(ii). Also note that there is no other money payable for the application form other than the amount stated above.
