Heavy rains in Kampala

Moyo residents are calling for relief assistance following the heavy rains which turned into floods that have washed away people’s properties. Reports from Moyo district show that floods affected four villages after the flooding of River Koki.
The member of parliament for Obongi county in Moyo district Hassan Fungaroo Kaps said that the people need help from government because their homes, gardens and animals were swept by floods. Fungaroo said that there should be a mechanism by government to desilt River Koko because the vegetation and soil deposit has blocked this river flow hence water finding its way in residents and destroying their crops.

]]> The Minister of state for refugees and disaster preparedness Musa Ecweru has refuted allegations of retaining part of the relief items meant for Bulambuli landslides victims.

This follows allegations by Buyaga West county MP Bernabas Tinkasimire that Ecweru didn’t deliver all the 800 bags of maize flour to the victims.

Ecweru says proper procedures were followed although he says he is to investigate these allegations.

Its milk is used in preparation of food because of its sweet taste and aroma. It also contains substances that ease digestion, guarding against constipation, aids colon cleansing, thus preventing colon cancer.

Coconut milk foraminate complexion: its rich in lauric acid, an essential fatty acid needed to build and maintain the immune system.

Doctors say that coconut contains anti-carcinogenic, anti-bacterial, antiviral and anti-microbial properties that boost the body immunity.

It is rich in calcium, potassium, chloride, vitamin A, vitamin E and its milk checks blood pressure, stabilises blood sugar and heals skin ailments. The coconut oil aids hair growth and a smooth skin.
