University of Sydney Undergraduate Scholarships: University of Sydney Undergraduate Scholarships for School Leavers applying for admission through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) are awarded annually in January on a combination of school examination results, UAI and other achievements, (leadership, creativity, self-motivation, communication skills etc).

Suitability will be considered based on the application submitted.

When the UAI scores are released, each applicants UAI will be checked to see it meets the minimum level, the student may then be offered a scholarship.

Please note that students who wish to study at Sydney College of the Arts or the Sydney Conservatorium of Music must achieve a UAI of at least 90 and be amongst the top 5% of applicants, assessed by portfolio or performance.

International and New Zealand students applying for admission through the UAC are also eligible to apply.

There are two levels of University of Sydney Undergraduate Scholarships (Entry & Merit scholarships). Your application will automatically be considered for both.

  • University of Sydney Merit Scholarship – $6000 for a maximum of 5 years (must maintain an excellent academic record throughout the tenure of the scholarship).
  • University of Sydney Entry Scholarship – $6000 for one year only

University of Sydney Scholarships are available for all undergraduate degrees and combined degrees.

However, you can nominate only one faculty in your application which will be forwarded to this faculty for consideration.

The scholarship can be used for any degree in that Faculty.

How to Apply: Application forms are available from the Scholarships Office from mid July in each scholarship round.

PhD Studentships at University of Bremen – Germany: The Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) invites applications to its PhD program.

The program will commence on September 1st.

Successful applicants for the PhD and Post-doc fellowships will pursue a topic in one of BIGSSS’ five Thematic Fields.

All fellows are expected to choose Bremen as their place of residence.

They offer 15 PhD stipends of 1250 Euros/month for 36 months, contingent on successful completion of each year.

To support its PhD fellows in achieving early scientific independence, it also provides funds for conducting, presenting and publishing research.

There is no separate funding application, because all admitted applicants receive a stipend.

Admission Eligibility Criteria:

  • An excellent MA degree (or national equivalents like the German “Diplom” or “Magister”) in a discipline pertinent to at least one of BIGSSS’ five Thematic fields (see above), i.e. in Political Science (including related degree programs in European Studies or International Relations), Sociology, Psychology, Law, Economics or Mass Communication.
  • English proficiency.

Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) offers 2 Preparatory Fellowships to particularly talented BA Graduates.

The goal of this award is to enhance awareness of the critical role of religious dialogue in the pursuit of peace as well as to provide direct support for the furtherance of such activities.

Prize Award Criteria:

A panel of judges composed of religious leaders, academics and individuals known for their commitment to interfaith dialogue will consider the recent and career accomplishments of nominees.

Award recipients will have demonstrated extraordinary leadership, courage and a capacity for inspiring in others a willingness to embrace the vulnerability that is the key to true religious dialogue.

Prize Eligibility:

Any living individual or organization that the nominator believes has contributed to the promotion of constructive dialogue and/or relations between faith communities.

Prize Criteria:

The committee invites nominators to consider a wide-range of activities.

A nominee may, for example, have organized members of different faith communities to work toward a common goal; produced a work of art or literature that contributes to or publicizes the importance of interfaith dialogue; or uses a position of authority or power to bring faith communities together.

Nominees may be designated on the basis of a single contribution or a lifetime of contributions.

Prize Nomination Procedures:

Nominators should provide a brief description of themselves (no more than 100 words) and a two page letter describing the individual or organization being nominated and the activities the nominator believes qualify the nominee for consideration.

Nominators should explain why the nominee’s activities are of an exceptional nature.

Scholarship Application Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have 3 years of work experience, high performance at a 3+ year Bachelor program or equivalent, and carry out a scholarship interview with a Hult representative. Transcripts and CV/Resume will be required.

Scholarship Value: Scholarships vary on the strength of the candidate.

International Erotic Art Competition: This international competition aims to become one of the “largest erotic art competitions in the world”, showcasing fine erotic artworks.

It is dedicated to both artists and those who truly admire the sensuality of this art genre.

Whether you are already established as an artist, on the way up or a complete unknown, we wish to embrace and showcase your talents to the world.

The 200 winning entries will be published in a beautifully bound coffee table book entitled “The World’s Greatest Erotic Art of Today”.

This book will be distributed internationally through high street booksellers, specialty stores, museum stores, galleries, libraries, as well as on the internet.

Also, there are six (6) cash prizes including a $10,000 master winner, four (4) category winners of $1000 each, and one (1) “Viewer’s Choice” winner of $1000.

Each of these six (6) winners will also receive a 3 day, an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas, Nevada (USA) to attend the Awards Ceremony in December.
