The Kabarole district secondary school athletics final competition held at St.Leos College Kyegobe play ground yesterday ended in brutal fighting between two teams disagreeing about the results.

The competitions that turned rowdy after the sports officials announced Kibiito secondary school as the winner.

Students from Kabarole Hill side school that were declared second, rejected the results a move that prompted the officials to organize a committee comprised of teachers from various schools and students to verify the results who later found out that Kibiito secondary school was indeed the first.

Armed with stones and sticks, the frustrated students from Kabarole Hillside School thereafter ambushed Kibiito secondary school students as they boarded their school bus back to school.

The two groups engaged the fort portal police in running battles at Kasusu trading centre in south division fort portal municipality as the school bus stopped to wait for the missing members putting business at stand still.

The situation forced the Kabarole district woman member of parliament Hon Businge Victoria Rusoke to intervene. She talked to the students and advised the frustrated Kabarole hill side students to accept defeat and wait for the next competitions.
