This comes after one day when the mufti Mubaje was sacked by Uganda Muslim Supreme Council General Assembly due to incompetence and dishonesty.

Addressing the media at Hotel African this morning, Mubajje pointed a finger at Basajjabalaba for funding conflicts in the Islamic faith.

Mubajje said only a few supporters of Basajabalaba met to sack and he would not yield to their demands.

The muslim faith in Uganda has been engaged in several wrangles, with two factions claiming autonomy from each, and now the main faction being divided among Mubajje and Bassajabalaba.

The two were accused by the Rajab Kayongo led faction based at Kibuli mosque of selling property belonging to Muslims and misusing assets of Muslims.
